Garage Command Centre is garage management software for independent UK garages. It runs quotes, online booking, the workshop board, MOT reminders, customer messaging, invoicing and card payments in one system, from £199 a month with no VAT to add. It was built inside PDL MOTs & Repairs, a working garage in Gloucester, and still runs that garage every day.
What garage management software has to do
Most independent garages end up running three or four systems that do not talk to each other: a diary on one, quotes on another, MOT dates in a spreadsheet, and a phone that rings while everyone is under a car. The job of garage management software is to put those in one place so nothing falls between them.
Garage Command Centre covers the whole working day:
- Quotes with photos. Build the quote in the bay with pictures of what you found. The customer opens it on their phone and accepts the work line by line.
- Online booking. A booking taken on your website lands in your diary, not in an inbox.
- The workshop board. Every car on site and the stage it is at, by bay, so nobody has to walk out and look.
- MOT reminders. Expiry dates come from the DVSA and the texts go out overnight on their own.
- One message queue. Texts and phone messages in a single list, longest wait at the top, each logged against the car.
- Invoicing and payments. Card payment links on your own merchant account, invoices and VAT-ready reports.
Built in a garage, not a software office
This matters more than it sounds. The system was written for PDL MOTs & Repairs in Gloucester and used there every day before it was sold to anyone. Features exist because a job went wrong without them, not because they tested well in a focus group.
The clearest example is declined work. In most systems a customer saying no is the end of it. Here the declined job stays on file with its photos, and a follow-up is scheduled automatically so it can go back out when the customer is in a better month.
What it replaces
Garages usually move across from a mix of a diary system, a separate quoting tool, a spreadsheet of MOT dates and a mobile phone for customer messages. Garage Command Centre replaces all four. Migration is free and we do the work, so you are not rekeying customers, vehicles or MOT dates.
What it costs
£199 a month for the garage software. £399 a month for everything, including the Finance Suite, MOT Manager and Lois answering the phone. We are not VAT registered, so those are the real numbers with nothing to add. There is no setup fee and no minimum term, and the first five garages take the full package at £249 a month, locked for as long as they stay.
